Pomelo Care is a multi-disciplinary team of clinicians, engineers, and problem solvers dedicated to improving care for moms and babies. We are transforming outcomes for pregnant people and babies through evidence-based pregnancy and newborn care at scale, utilizing a technology-driven care platform. We measure success by reductions in preterm births, NICU admissions, c-sections, and maternal mortality. Role Description

As a Doula in the Pomelo network, you will educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. You will play a vital role in improving birth outcomes by ensuring families feel supported and empowered.

Requirements

  • Experience working as a doula with an in-depth understanding of pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery.
  • Completed certification/training as a birth and/or full spectrum doula.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to connect with families from diverse backgrounds (virtually and in-person).
  • Comfortable using Telehealth platforms, video conferencing tools, and electronic documentation systems.
  • Ability to work virtually, in-person, evenings, and weekends to accommodate family needs.

Responsibilities

  • Educate and guide expecting and new families throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.
  • Provide support and empowerment to families during this transformative time.
  • Utilize technology to engage patients early, conduct risk assessments, and deliver coordinated virtual care.
