Requirements

3-5 years of business experience, preferably in retail industry
Experience in basic planning tasks (inventory and order control based on sales)
Experience in allocation to sales channels is desirable
Buyers (merchandising) without planning experience may be considered if skilled in handling numbers, based on interview
Experience managing multiple stores or all stores (rather than single stores) is desirable
Basic knowledge of purchasing, inventory management, and sales in retail
Knowledge of trade, logistics, or supply chain is a plus
Excel skills for numerical processing: functions (IF, SUMIF, SUMPRODUCT, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP, MATCH, INDEX, etc.), pivot tables, macros is a plus
Interest in qualitative aspects behind data, such as product characteristics and sales trends (not just quantitative analysis)
Interest in the company's products (fashion items, home goods, plush toys, etc.)
Logical and persuasive presentation skills using PowerPoint
English proficiency (able to read and reply to English emails)

Responsibilities

Initial allocation for new products
Handling irregularities in initial allocation (ad-hoc handling for products missed in initial allocation, priority shelf stocking requests for items with short DC-IN to allocation time, emergency allocation (using IP))
Repeat allocation for sold products
Allocation for new store openings/closures
Inter-store inventory transfers based on sales performance
Covers all departments and products handled by the merchandising department
