Requirements

  • Technical leadership and coordination experience with US Federal and Civil Space agencies
  • High degree of satellite communications engineering expertise
  • Ability to develop technical relationships with key stakeholders and high-performance satellite communication solutions
  • Program management skills for pre-launch systems engineering, prototyping, demonstrations, and studies
  • Ability to work collaboratively with parent company colleagues within FOCI agreement limitations

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in supporting TGS contracts with US Federal and Civil Space Government agencies and the Telesat LEO engineering team, putting forward competitive solutions adapted to Government users
  • Represent Telesat to US Government agencies with satellite communications engineering expertise
  • Support the definition and maintenance of a government services roadmap in collaboration with Telesat’s product management team
  • Identify key customers whose missions align with Lightspeed capabilities, focusing on Federal and Civil government applications; evangelize Lightspeed virtues and identify early adopters
  • Plan and execute customer and user engagements, align resources, identify funding and contracting avenues, and develop business development plans to maximize P(win) and build an active customer base
  • Develop, communicate, and execute winning sales strategies for pLEO services targeting Government verticals; analyze competitive landscape, channel conflicts, and environmental factors to offer high-value proposals
  • Execute the TGS Growth Strategy through active participation in strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, and sales resource planning
  • Work closely with executive team to ensure a culture of teamwork, success, consistency, accountability, high-performance, and ethical behavior
  • Collaborate with parent company colleagues within FOCI limitations to achieve corporate goals, cost controls, and business alignment
  • Establish and maintain productive peer-to-peer relationships with customers and prospects as part of the overall business solution
  • Report on progress and provide market insights
