Requirements

  • 8+ years of high-quality income tax experience (planning, compliance) within or supporting a complex US Multinational
  • Well-developed technical tax skills, including knowledge and application of US international tax rules and global laws (e.g. Pillar 2)
  • Compelling track record of building efficient and effective tax positions and structures to support the business
  • Intellectually curious, with proven ability to issue spot and effectively collaborate with subject matter experts (internally and externally)
  • Team-based orientation, proven relationship builder with true business acumen and judgment
  • Well-honed verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate concisely and effectively with senior leadership, junior staff, peers, and non-Tax business partners
  • Excellent leadership and project management skills within a collaborative environment and proven ability to multitask on multiple issues within tight timelines
  • Ability to learn new global tax changes (like Pillar 2) and work with new rules and ambiguity to develop analysis and guidance on novel issues
  • Experienced people manager with a successful track record of training and development
  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance
  • MBA or Master’s in Accountancy or Tax or a JD with a Tax LL.M
  • JD, CPA, or Master’s in Taxation preferred

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on tax optimization with team members, contribute to achieving team goals, and assist in making well-informed decisions in complex situations
  • Develop work plans for approved projects and manage their design and implementation in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including other tax specialists, legal, treasury, controllership, and in-country tax teams
  • Manage the execution of international tax projects, while demonstrating a deep understanding of complex tax concepts, ability to simplify discussion of tax issues with business teams and staying informed of current tax developments
  • Ensure tax positions are properly included on tax returns and provisions, including effective documentation so positions are sustained upon audit
  • Ensure tax positions are thoroughly vetted, documented, risk minimized and there is utmost integrity in our reporting
  • Monitor evolving global tax developments (U.S., Pillar 2, and foreign law changes) and design strategic responses
  • Collaborate with business, other tax specialists, legal, treasury, accounting, and external advisors to evaluate and execute strategic initiatives
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing technical team in international planning
