Requirements

  • 8+ years of public relations experience (in-house or agency)
  • Background in manufacturing or other industrial sectors (highly preferred)
  • Exceptional strategic writing skills—crafting corporate messages, standby statements, executive talking points, and briefing materials—and produce high-quality content independently
  • Think creatively and implement innovative communication platforms and tools, including leading-edge PR strategies
  • Strong press relationships and an active media network
  • Present confidently with meticulous attention to detail

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with top-tier business, trade, and industry media to advance awareness, reputation, and our corporate narrative
  • Lead earned and paid media programs—including media sponsorships—that reinforce corporate reputation and brand positioning
  • Build executive visibility: create thought-leadership platforms and provide strategic counsel on speaking engagements, panels, and awards to align with corporate priorities and amplify key messages
  • Develop clear, accessible media materials (press releases, key messages, and talking points) tailored to audience needs
  • Deliver media training and coaching to executives, preparing them to engage confidently and effectively in media and public forums
  • Collaborate with product, HR, partnerships, and marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and maximize media opportunities
  • Plan and lead communications and media strategy for product launches, key events, and milestone announcements
  • Measure and report weekly and quarterly PR performance; use data-driven insights and external benchmarking to refine strategy for reach, engagement, and reputational impact
  • Test emerging technologies and continually experiment with AI to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and increase the accuracy of data, metrics, and reporting
