Requirements

Candidates must possess a BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience. They should have at least 15 years of experience in engineering, program management, or management consulting with a focus on process rollouts and product launches. A proven track record in driving complex software/hardware integration processes and optimizations, as well as leading complex cross-functional programs end to end, is essential. Proficiency in project management tools and processes such as Gantt charts, risk matrices, Smartsheet, and JIRA is required. Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills are necessary.

Responsibilities

The Director, Processes & Tools will lead efforts to build and scale Zoox-wide processes and tools while maintaining a strong technical understanding of vehicle platforms, software lifecycle, safety release processes, and test operations. They will partner with leaders across Zoox to translate corporate strategy into detailed product roadmaps, timelines, and deliverables. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to define and track resource requirements, influencing key decisions across engineering, operations, finance, and strategy to achieve optimal conclusions. The Director will define KPIs to measure progress towards goals and serve as the key interface with stakeholders and leadership, exercising judgment to develop solutions and redefine approaches.
