Candidates should possess a minimum of 7 years of experience in program management roles, leading complex, multi-disciplinary engineering programs, and hold a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related technical field. They should have knowledge of autonomous systems and development processes, including perception, prediction, hardware, model training, and simulation. Strong written and oral communication skills, particularly the ability to communicate complex engineering issues to diverse audiences, are required.
The Principal Technical Program Manager will partner deeply with engineering leaders driving autonomy-led programs across teams and organizations, ensuring the organization’s technical roadmap is well-defined and integrated with top-level programs. They will instill an efficient program management mindset and workflow across the teams, enable and accelerate complex programs by improving prioritization clarity and managing healthy issue escalations, proactively identify and communicate risks, and partner with engineering leaders to scope, staff, and deliver mature AV behaviors. Furthermore, they will define efficient communication processes, drive adoption, amplify program visibility, understand technical implementation at the architectural level, champion development efficiency, and communicate to leadership in regular forums, contributing to executive deliverables and providing team analyses and recommendations.
