Responsibilities

Build genuine, supportive relationships with BU students prioritizing wellness and deepening Jewish life involvement
Lead and empower student leaders and interns to plan and facilitate peer wellbeing experiences based on needs (e.g., yoga classes, meditation, exercise groups, stress-reduction workshops)
Collaborate with students and colleagues to design and expand wellness programs including physical activity, mindfulness, and peer support groups
Engage regularly with individual students or small groups to discuss wellness challenges, offer guidance, and co-create wellness plans
Facilitate 2–3 courses per year using Hillel’s "Ancient Wisdom for Modern Wellbeing" curriculum, integrating Jewish perspectives on health
Mentor student cohorts like the Care Fellowship to create innovative wellness projects and advocate for campus mental health services
Connect students in need with mental health resources and referrals, providing ongoing support
Maintain and analyze wellness-related student engagement data through CRM to inform programming and outreach
Participate in Shabbat services, Jewish holidays, and key programs featuring wellness initiatives
Provide staff team-building opportunities through wellness-related trainings and sessions
Train and consult with the broader student engagement team to build a well-being culture, including incorporating practices into interactions, guiding one-on-one conversations, and running skill-building exercises
