Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute the company's quality assurance and food safety strategy
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the QA/QMS team
  • Serve as subject matter expert on all food safety, quality, and compliance matters
  • Ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, FSMA, HACCP, GFSI, Kosher, Organic, and other applicable regulatory and certification standards
  • Oversee the acceptability of Food Safety and Compliance programs
  • Partner with regulatory agencies and certification bodies during audits
  • Design, implement, and maintain a robust QMS documentation system
  • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Manage documentation, change control, CAPA, and training programs
  • Lead investigations into quality or safety incidents
  • Implement best-in-class practices for raw material quality, in-process controls, finished product testing, and traceability
  • Champion a consumer-focused quality culture within the organization
