With brands like Firefox, a privacy-minded web browser, Mozilla aims to shape the future of technology, focusing on areas such as AI, social media, and security, all while upholding its core mission of creating an internet for people, not companies.

This role is within the Firefox team, which is reimagining the browser experience with consent-driven AI at its core. The Director of Product Management, Generative AI, will lead the strategy for building AI-first experiences to enhance user productivity, focus, and online fulfillment. This involves shaping the vision, defining the roadmap, and driving the execution of products that leverage AI to help users solve problems efficiently and effectively, while adhering to Firefox's principles of privacy, transparency, and user control.

Responsibilities

  • Product Vision & Strategy: Lead the vision, strategy, and execution for using generative AI to improve productivity and discovery, and to solve user problems within the browser.
  • Innovative Solutions: Utilize cutting-edge technologies (e.g., Agentic AI, MCP) and design thinking to deliver outstanding solutions at industry-leading scale. Act with urgency to prove/disprove hypotheses.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and deliver high-quality products aligned with user needs and business goals.
  • Design & Engineering Partnership: Collaborate with design and engineering teams to create well-designed, user-centric products that exceed business goals.
  • Business Development: Partner with business development teams to drive adoption of new features, champion partnerships, and develop new business opportunities that drive revenue growth.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Track and analyze key product metrics to inform decisions and drive continuous improvement.
  • Effective Communication: Clearly articulate product plans, benefits, and outcomes to a wide range of audiences, including internal partners, leadership, employees, and users.
  • Industry Awareness: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation and maintain Firefox's leadership position.
  • Thought Leadership: Advocate for the role of generative AI, setting a transformational agenda that distinguishes Firefox as a leader in this space.

Requirements

  • Extensive Product Management Experience: 10+ years of product management experience with a consistent track record of success.
  • Strong Team Leadership: 5+ years of direct PM management experience.
  • AI Experience: Experience in launching customer-facing features and platforms that leverage AI.
  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including experience interacting with senior executives.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Proficiency in building and analyzing data to inform product decisions.
