- Review high-level deal requests, gather deal and sponsor materials, access public records, and guide team to collect and input data for models and deal write-ups (Opportunity Creation)
- Input data into models, validate assumptions, and adjust to align with market expectations (Underwriting Oversight)
- Design optimal capital structures balancing sponsor needs, market realities, and available capital sources (Capital Stack Strategy)
- Lead team in producing high-quality deal write-ups and investor-grade offering memoranda aligning with company standards (Offering Memoranda)
- Identify capital partners, drive competition, and align terms with sponsor goals (Lender Sourcing & Negotiation)
- Negotiate, mark up term sheets, create issue lists, and present options to sponsors (Term Sheet Execution)
- Manage due diligence, lender/3rd party questions, delays, and client expectations
- Coordinate all parties for smooth, efficient, and timely loan closings (Closing)
- Set sponsors up for post-close success and maintain relationships for future opportunities (Post-Close)
- Build a team that delivers and earns trust
