Requirements

  • Proven track record of leading and managing a BI team, with 12+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, and 5+ years as a BI Manager or above
  • Extensive experience with modern analytics tools such as Tableau or similar
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions
  • Strong understanding of data governance, data modeling, and best practices for data integration and reporting
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to align BI initiatives with business objectives
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to executive leadership and other stakeholders
  • Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously
  • Ability to stay current with emerging BI technologies and trends, and apply them to drive business impact
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across departments and functions
  • Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
  • Experience in managing budgets and resources effectively
  • Commitment to fostering a data-driven culture and promoting the use of BI insights for decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the BI Team, including BI Managers and BI Analysts, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure that they have the skills and resources they need to deliver high-quality solutions. This includes training and performance management
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive BI strategy in alignment with business goals and objectives. This includes assessing the current state of BI, identifying gaps and opportunities, and defining a roadmap for future development
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to understand business needs and provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making. Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, acting as the primary point of contact for BI initiatives, managing expectations, and communicating effectively
  • Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of scalable and performant BI solutions, including dashboards, reports, and analytics tools. Ensure that these solutions are designed to meet the needs of the organization and are user-friendly and accessible to all stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the BI solutions, technology, and processes to ensure that they remain effective and meet the evolving needs of the organization. Identify areas for improvement, implement best practices and stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments
  • Drive and support data-driven decision making within the organization, supporting the required technology as well as know-how and best practices
  • Manage the BI budget and resources, prioritize opportunities, and ensure efficient allocation to meet business needs
  • Lead the recruitment and hiring process for BI positions, ensuring the team has the right mix of skills and experience. Communicate hiring needs to the R&D Leadership and monitor the execution of hiring plans
