Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or related field (MBA preferred)
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in retail or eCommerce
  • 10+ years of experience in retail, eCommerce, or category management, with direct experience in Marketplace or third-party business management
  • 5+ years of people leadership experience
  • Demonstrated success in P&L ownership, strategic planning, and cross-functional leadership
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data into actionable insights
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills; proven ability to influence at the VP/SVP level
  • Experience leading, coaching, and developing teams; empathetic leader who drives accountability and inspires performance
  • A growth mindset with the ability to navigate ambiguity and lead through change
  • Preferred: Experience leading a 3P Marketplace or platform business
  • Preferred: Deep understanding of the grocery or CPG category landscape
  • Preferred: Proven record of developing strategic partnerships and influencing senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • Own the Marketplace Dry Grocery business end-to-end, setting the strategy and managing performance across financial, assortment, and experience goals
  • Lead and develop a team of 6–8 associates, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth
  • Define category strategy and growth plans, including brand acquisition, assortment expansion, and event participation to meet annual operating plan (AOP) targets
  • Partner cross-functionally with Product, Operations, Supply Chain, Site Experience, and Marketing to ensure the seller and customer experience exceeds expectations
  • Influence senior leaders (two VPs and one SVP) through clear communication of business strategy, performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Drive innovation in 3P grocery assortment, pricing, and fulfillment through data-driven insights and strategic partnerships
  • Champion belonging while maintaining a high bar for team performance and associate development
  • Define long-term roadmap and translate it into actionable goals (Strategic Vision)
  • Communicate clearly and persuasively to senior audiences (Executive Presence)
