Responsibilities

  • Develop and plan effective risk-based annual planning
  • Work directly with business leadership to understand strategic plans and objectives
  • Incorporate leading practices to develop and execute a risk-based audit plan
  • Proactively inform segment management of significant risks or exposures
  • Communicate risk management, governance, and control issues, opportunities for improvement, and impactful recommendations to senior leadership
  • Effectively communicate with, and educate, process owners and senior management on the importance of internal controls, an effective control environment, process excellence, and the role of Internal Audit
  • Execute audits and reviews in compliance with Global Audit Standards and the Code of Ethics developed by the Institute of Internal Auditors
  • Lead a team of associates to ensure the execution and completion of annual audit plan
  • Build, lead, and develop a cohesive team of audit professionals
  • Coach and mentor associates to develop and retain talent
  • Ensure segment auditable entities are up-to-date and coverage is monitored regularly
  • Collaborate with other risk and compliance functions
  • Develop and maintain aligned assurance between teams
  • Collaborate with other leadership roles within the Chief Audit and Risk organization
  • Ensure completion of department strategic goals
  • Work closely with the other Internal Audit segment Directors to ensure effective collaboration
  • Ensure review and completion of AuditBoard steps in accordance with Internal Audit methodology and established deadline goals
