Requirements

  • Experienced professional in legal and operational issues related to data management and information governance
  • Ability to provide operational guidance on data management tools and processes (e.g., data classification, identification and remediation of redundant, obsolete, and trivial information)
  • Expertise in providing legal input and analysis on technology and data management issues, including regulatory, eDiscovery, and other legal matters
  • Strategic leadership skills to drive global Information Governance (IG) and Records program with ties to eDiscovery
  • Ability to partner with senior stakeholders across Legal, IT, Privacy, Quality, Audit, and other corporate functions
  • Experience managing records management platforms (electronic data and hard-copy records) and complex integrations
  • Knowledge of technologies for risk mitigation and efficiency (e.g., data minimization, retention, sensitivity labeling, auto-classification, GenAI, analytics, defensible data deletion)
  • Capability to support adoption of Generative AI tools and their impact on eDiscovery and IG

Responsibilities

  • Lead and partner on cross-functional data management initiatives with senior leaders in Legal, IT, Privacy, Quality, Audit, and other functions
  • Act as primary liaison and subject matter expert on IG and records matters, providing policies, procedures, and guidelines
  • Build strong relationships with business partners by offering responsive, practical support to manage risk and achieve objectives
  • Manage the records management platform and its integrations with company data sources
  • Identify and leverage new/existing technologies to mitigate risk and achieve efficiencies (e.g., data minimization, retention, sensitivity labeling, auto-classification, GenAI, analytics, defensible data deletion)
  • Support adoption and use of Generative AI tools, developing related policies, processes, and guidelines for eDiscovery and IG
  • Provide strategic oversight and guidance on complex technology projects (e.g., records system enhancements, file share governance tools, archiving legacy systems)
  • Develop, implement, and maintain defensible policies, procedures for policy, compliance, and risk management
