Requirements

  • Ability to partner with the "client" Public Credit accounting team to onboard and maintain the general ledger for several joint ventures
  • Expertise in preparing summary financial statements and schedule of investments for joint ventures required in public SEC filings of related Business Development Companies (BDCs)
  • Proficiency in preparing US GAAP financial statements for monthly and quarterly reporting
  • Capability to provide management company data for quarterly SEC filings
  • Skills in performing detailed reporting of underlying portfolio and performance to investors
  • Experience in detailed analysis of financial statements
  • Knowledge of monthly and quarterly financial statement account balance reconciliations and workpapers
  • Ability to support and prepare investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, etc
  • Competence in daily cash tracking, reconciliation, and cash management
  • Ability to create and maintain expense budget to actual analysis of the funds
  • Capacity to support other activities relating to funds’ activities, books, records, and reporting
  • Willingness to understand, communicate, and resolve unique client issues in tandem with SEI Relationship Teams
  • Ability to ensure overall quality and delivery of Fund Accounting, Shareholder Reporting, and Administration services per client-specific service model
  • Capability to serve as senior technical and operational resource for clients
  • Experience interacting with Board of Directors/Trustees for assigned service relationships
  • In certain circumstances, ability to serve as Chief Financial Officer of client funds
  • Expertise to identify, interpret, apply, and communicate accounting and industry rules and regulations
  • Willingness to travel consistently (e.g., every other week to New York for 2-3 days, initial in-person training in LA, combination of in-office in LA, NY, Oaks PA, and remote)

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day delivery of premium accounting services to internal and external clients for assigned bundle of service relationships, including tactical accounting operations management
  • Operational ownership and leadership for a bundle of service relationships, coordinating with Senior Operations Officers, other Directors, SEI Solutions Team, other SEI units, external clients, auditors, and vendors for cost-focused, efficient, standardized, and predictable service
  • Directing overall operations functions, including transaction initiation, service requests via multiple channels, and training through supervision of managers and supervisors to ensure highest quality service
  • Developing and implementing procedures for maintaining/enhancing client service, quality, and operational efficiency
  • Formulating and/or implementing operations policies and procedures to facilitate processes per corporate standards
