Requirements

  • JD and a four-year college degree
  • 5–6 years of transactional legal experience, preferably in contract negotiation and drafting
  • Knowledge of retirement and health plan products, services, and applicable laws and regulations (ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, data privacy laws)
  • Understanding of key commercial contract terms such as confidentiality, indemnification, limits on liability, warranties, and data privacy
  • Excellent legal analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve complex negotiation issues
  • Ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving contracting issues and developing creative solutions
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across Fidelity
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills with confidence in presenting and decision-making

Responsibilities

  • Represent and protect Fidelity in drafting and negotiating agreements with largest plan sponsor clients
  • Partner with Sales, Relationship Management, Operations, Finance, Product Management, Compliance, and Corporate Legal to achieve business goals while managing legal and compliance risk
  • Lead negotiations

  • Provide strategic guidance that supports business growth
