Requirements

JD and a four-year college degree
5–6 years of transactional legal experience, preferably in contract negotiation and drafting
Knowledge of retirement and health plan products, services, and applicable laws and regulations (ERISA, Internal Revenue Code, HIPAA, data privacy laws)
Understanding of key commercial contract terms such as confidentiality, indemnification, limits on liability, warranties, and data privacy
Excellent legal analysis and problem-solving skills to resolve complex negotiation issues
Ability to take initiative in identifying and resolving contracting issues and developing creative solutions
Strong collaboration skills and ability to build relationships across Fidelity
Outstanding oral and written communication skills with confidence in presenting and decision-making

Responsibilities

Represent and protect Fidelity in drafting and negotiating agreements with largest plan sponsor clients
Partner with Sales, Relationship Management, Operations, Finance, Product Management, Compliance, and Corporate Legal to achieve business goals while managing legal and compliance risk
Lead negotiations
Resolve complex legal issues
Provide strategic guidance that supports business growth
