Requirements

  • Onsite presence 5 days a week (Monday - Friday) at Lenexa, KS location
  • Ability to oversee a team of Replenishment Leads, Buyers, and Operations Support Specialists
  • Experience managing replenishment buying and inventory management across categories (grocery, fresh, produce)
  • Capability to represent Replenishment function on Area leadership staff with local and national sales leaders

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all replenishment-related performance metrics for the Area, including Target Service Levels, Optimal Days Inventory on Hand (DIOH), Spoilage & Inventory Adjustment, and Freight Optimization
  • Actively engage in Area-level staff meetings on replenishment performance and issue resolution; represent replenishment and own all follow-ups
  • Oversee all replenishment and inventory management activities in the Area
  • Oversee Area Buyers to manage inventory health (gap to target DIOH levels) and highlight issues to Replenishment Center of Excellence (COE)
  • Oversee Area Buyers to ensure Purchase Orders (POs) are issued timely to vendors using Suggested Order Quantities (SOQ) and optimal parameters
  • Work with buyer team to root cause and address major stock outs, anticipated shorts, and finalize recovery actions for long-term outages
  • Oversee Operations Support Specialists to ensure timely updates/changes to POs and arrival to DCs; escalate issues to transportation, DC operations, and merchandising teams; communicate major issues to Sales and Replenishment leadership
  • Work with Buyer team to resolve billing and costing discrepancies through CASIS
  • Provide local ownership and accountability for overall service performance and special events
  • Ensure Replenishment-related service requests are assigned timely to Support Specialists and actioned within response SLA; determine allocation priorities for constrained items with Buyer team
  • Work with Buyers and Support Specialists to support local sales events; partner with Sales and Merchandising to manage demand forecasts and preparedness for key events
  • Oversee major customer transitions (start-up & ramp-down) and assortment transitions by providing Buyer team with process expertise and facilitating cross-functional support
  • Triaging and resolving acute/seasonal Area-specific service issues
