Responsibilities

  • Updates and maintains the Visual Effects Design Studio Shotgun project - inclusive of artist assignments, task status, artist notes, scene and setup details, and media ingest records to ensure the data, schedule dates, and pertinent information are accurate
  • Creates shots breakdown sheets of the creative content for the Media Producer for bidding
  • Coordinates invitees for digital meetings, work sessions, and reviews to ensure critical parties can attend, and raises issues with solutions to the Media Producer as needed
  • Downloads Dailies, creates playlists in Shotgun, and works with the vendor on assets and multi-week deliveries
  • Demonstrates in-depth understanding of visual effects pipeline when taking notes and dialoguing about processes clearly and concisely with producers and digital artists
  • Ensures the digital artists have access to the assets and files they need from the different show disciplines and from outside vendors
  • Schedules artist rounds for the VFX Supervisor and documents action items in Shotgun
  • Prepares digital delivery packages for reviews and turnovers with direction from the VFX Supervisor – inclusive of assembling assets for presentations, compressing digital files for web sharing, and watermarking media as needed
  • Coordinates Visual Effects Design Studio needs for mockups and field testing – inclusive of scheduling, documenting action items, and driving follow-up communication
  • Strategizes with Media Producer on preparation for Installation, inclusive of building and tracking the trip schedule with start/end dates, purchasing expendables to support the team, supporting technical playback of the media, and troubleshooting issues as they arise
  • Facilitates on-lining and off-lining of digital deliveries including quality-controlling the deliveries and prioritizing early versions that can be backed up and archived as new ones arrive
  • Communicates clearly and respectfully with the artistic and technical teams, and with senior production and project leadership
  • Demonstrates excellent meeting-facilitation, presentation, and collaboration skills to ensure production team members are aligned on project objectives
