Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Journalism, Communications or related field preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a corporate communications writing role, ideally in insurance, financial services or other highly regulated industry
  • Impeccable attention to detail, advanced proofreading skills, and ability to ensure that all content is of high quality and error free
  • Comfortable working with Content Management Systems and other digital publishing tools; experience with social media a plus
  • Enthusiastic, high-energy, creative self-starter with a “can do” approach, and the ability to problem solve and meet deadlines
  • Excellent multi-tasking, project management, analytical and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels, and with a geographically distributed workforce
  • Ability to work in a changing, fast-paced environment, with high standards for quality and accountability

Responsibilities

  • Provide writing and editing support for the global Corporate Communications team to highlight AIG’s business wins and key company initiatives
  • Edit Human Resources, Cybersecurity/IT, and other timely and impactful content for an internal colleague audience and external where relevant
  • Create, preview and publish content across a variety of channels, including the intranet, email, digital signage, social media and AIG.com
  • Bring fresh perspectives and innovative thinking to propose new approaches to content
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners and stakeholders
