Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Experienced leadership in a multi-faceted environment
  • Technical proficiency in dialysis department operations and knowledge of industry practices and business principles
  • Ability to analyze diverse situations or data, evaluate factors, and understand current business trends
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including ESRD requirements
  • Adherence to FMCNA Compliance Program, FMS policies, and Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) practices

Responsibilities

  • Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports; partner with Human Resources on employee matters
  • Support and drive FMS quality standards, meet ESRD regulatory requirements, and use QAI tools
  • Address and act on adverse events and action thresholds
  • Oversee facility’s Home Therapies Program if applicable
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and FMS Clinical Quality policies and procedures
  • Maintain integrity of medical records and other administrative/operational records; comply with data collections and auditing
  • Maintain facility environmental integrity, including safety
  • Hire, coach, counsel employees, conduct performance reviews, disciplinary actions, and terminations
  • Provide technical guidance and participate/present at meetings with internal/external representatives
  • Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge
  • Ensure patient education on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, access care, catheter reduction, and adherence
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
