Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license
Experienced leadership in a multi-faceted clinical environment
Technical proficiency in dialysis department operations and knowledge of industry practices and business principles
Ability to analyze diverse situations or data, evaluate factors, and understand current business trends
Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and FMCNA/FMS policies, including ESRD regulatory requirements
Knowledge of Quality Assessment and Improvement (QAI) tools and practices
Experience with data collection, auditing, medical records integrity, and facility environmental safety
Skills in hiring, coaching, counseling, performance reviews, disciplinary action, and terminations

Responsibilities

Manage tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives, including costs, methods, and staffing
Provide leadership, coaching, and development plans for direct reports to maintain an engaged workforce; partner with HR on employee matters
Support and drive FMS quality standards by meeting ESRD regulatory requirements and practicing QAI
Address and act on adverse events and action thresholds
Oversee facility’s Home Therapies Program if applicable
Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and FMS Clinical Quality policies; communicate and implement them
Maintain integrity of medical records and administrative/operational records; comply with data collections and auditing
Maintain facility environmental integrity, including safety
Coordinate all aspects of patient care from admission through discharge
Ensure patient education on quality measures, transplant options, modality awareness, access care, catheter reduction, and treatment adherence
Act as a resource for patients to address concerns
Participate and present at meetings with internal/external representatives; lead project teams
Interact with subordinate supervisors, customers, functional peers, internal departments, and external customers for problem resolution
Provide technical guidance and act as an advisor to subordinates
Perform other related duties as assigned
