Requirements

  • At least 5-8 years of DevOps experience
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes cluster management and operations
  • Proven ability to build and implement Kubernetes deployments and Helm charts
  • Solid understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Familiarity with observability tools, particularly DataDog
  • Understanding of GitOps principles and basic SRE concepts
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform
  • Strong Ansible automation and configuration management skills
  • Strong Linux system administration fundamentals
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VPNs, HTTP(S))
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in information technology or similar qualification

Responsibilities

  • Converting current application deployments to Kubernetes-native solutions
  • Developing and implementing Helm charts for containerized applications
  • Maintaining and modernizing existing Ansible infrastructure during the transition
  • Implementing and managing observability solutions using DataDog, ensuring comprehensive monitoring and alerting across infrastructure
  • Applying GitOps principles for infrastructure and application deployment
  • Following SRE standard processes to maintain system reliability and optimize performance
  • Advising development teams on containerization requirements and Kubernetes standards
  • Collaborating across multiple teams and time zones globally
