Requirements

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in the areas of DevOps, release engineering or development infrastructure
  • Strong knowledge in Java, Git, Maven or Gradle, and Jenkins
  • Experience with Apache, Nginx and Tomcat in Unix/Linux environments (plus)
  • Experience with Docker and Kubernetes (advantage)
  • Experience working with Public Cloud providers such as Microsoft Azure, AWS or Google Cloud (advantage)
  • Experience with GitOps tools like Argo CD (plus)
  • Some experience with Java backend service development (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willing to work with global project teams spread across several time zones
  • Knowledge and interest in the financial services industry domain (plus)

Responsibilities

  • Work as a DevOps Engineer in the Budapest office on initiatives to modernize the platform
  • Work with partner teams to enable their projects
  • Play a key role in running and continuously improving our Public Cloud
  • Work with developers, test engineers, project managers and technical leads
  • Understand and refine release engineering related requirements (CI/CD, builds, development and test environments)
  • Design and implement solutions
  • Clearly document deliverables
  • Enhance the team’s development infrastructure towards modern cloud environments and an increased level of automation
  • Stay abreast of new technologies
  • Integrate new technologies with the platform to further enhance the usability and efficiency of the software development lifecycle of BlackRock’s public web ecosystem
