Candidates should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in PostgreSQL, Aurora database administration, ClickHouse, and Scylla database administration, along with expertise in database architecture design, installation, migration, and upgrade. They should also demonstrate proficiency in AWS, Terraform, and Kubernetes configuration, experience in Linux and Network Concepts, and familiarity with GitOps using ArgoCD.
The DevOps Database Administrator will be responsible for administration, maintenance, configuration, installation, and support of databases, participating in technical and administration tasks such as database upgrades, security tools implementations, vulnerability checks, server upgrades, and migration. They will perform platform management including backup and restoration, troubleshooting and SQL performance tuning, monitoring usage, and capacity planning, while also developing and maintaining key database documentation, enabling standardization, and implementing patch management decisions. Furthermore, they will automate and streamline operations and processes in an Infrastructure as Code (IaC) manner, and communicate, escalate, and follow up on issues to ensure timely resolution.
