Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related engineering discipline or construction management
  • Prior experience in utility scale solar with an EPC or IPP
  • 3-5 years prior experience in utility scale solar EPC
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent budgeting and cost containment skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Sharepoint or other document control software
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Project Management software including but not limited to BlueBeam, Microsoft Project, etc
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing PVSYST reports
  • Understanding of utility scale solar construction practices (racking systems, inverters, substations, gen-tie, electrical design concepts, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborates with project staff to create a strategic action plan required to complete the project
  • Facilitates and contributes to the development of project plans and designs
  • Assesses the competence, capabilities, resources, and financial status of vendors and contractors
  • Supervises progress of development project and prepares weekly and monthly status reports for senior staff and off-takers
  • Compares and tracks the actual cost of development project to budget
  • Assists in management and oversight of consultants and contractors
  • Assists in management of QA/QC process, commissioning, inspections, signoffs, punchlists, and closeout documents
  • Assists in management of energy regulatory approvals (CUP, CAISO, FERC, NERC, CEC, EIA, etc.)
  • Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies
  • Assists the Construction Manager and Senior Development Staff with day-to-day tasks in Engineering, Procurement & Construction (EPC), including tracking and monitoring progress; managing submittals, RFIs, schedules, contractors, vendors, permit coordination, construction & contract documentation, etc
  • Performs other related duties as assigned
