Requirements

Ability to represent the development engineering function on product development extended core teams
Expertise in partnering with Systems Engineering to develop, review, and decompose product requirements
Capability to develop and drive a robust and efficient design verification strategy for product requirements
Experience championing studies/activities like design of experiments, transfer function development, and simulations
Proficiency in mentoring junior verification engineers and providing feedback on engineering reports, verification protocols, and reports
Skills as a liaison with Reliability, Compliance (60601), Hardware (Electrical and Mechanical), and Software teams
Ability to lead/support cross-functional failure investigations
Competence in authoring/reviewing/approving design verification protocols and reports
Experience supporting regulatory submissions
Ability to support QMS and/or DHF audits as the development engineer SME
Capacity to support post-launch changes to projects
Willingness to work on the Medtronic Campus in North Haven, CT

Responsibilities

Represent the development engineering function on product development extended core teams
Partner with Systems Engineering to develop, review, and decompose product requirements
Develop and drive a robust and efficient design verification strategy for product requirements
Champion studies and/or activities that drive robust design, such as design of experiments, transfer function development, and simulations
Mentor junior verification engineers working on projects and provide feedback on engineering reports, verification protocols, and verification reports
Act as liaison with Reliability, Compliance (60601), Hardware (Electrical and Mechanical), and Software teams for projects
Lead and/or support cross-functional failure investigations
Author or review/approve design verification protocols and reports
Support the development of regulatory submissions for projects
Support QMS and/or DHF audits as the development engineer SME on those projects
Support changes made to projects post-launch
Review and provide input to the development of product requirements
Review, provide input to, and approve test methods
Design studies and experiments to gain confidence in meeting product requirements
Analyze test data
