Requirements

  • Master’s or PhD in relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics) or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years of hands-on deep research experience in Radio Access Network (RAN) architecture and algorithm designs at reputed research organizations and universities
  • Hands-on experience in defining and coding AI/ML and LLM algorithms in RAN, with peer-reviewed published papers
  • Good knowledge of hardware choices for RAN stack and vision to evolve the industry to accelerated computing
  • Deep understanding of AI and GenAI as applied to wireless networks
  • Strong skills in representing the organization at industry bodies and submitting papers
  • Proven ability to work in multifaceted, fast-paced entrepreneurial environments and deliver results

Responsibilities

  • Establish trusted partner relationships with top 6G and AI-RAN researchers in network vendors, academia, and startups
  • Be the subject matter expert on key 6G topics, identifying and engaging researchers working on these topics
  • Conduct simulation studies, develop algorithms, and benchmark results
  • File intellectual properties and write papers for publication in reputed journals
  • Follow and attend 3GPP and AI-RAN alliance proceedings, develop contributions, and drive ecosystem of partnerships at these bodies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., NV Research, engineering, solution architects) to drive tasks aligned with the mission
  • Analyze sophisticated challenges in realization of AI-native RAN, develop strategies, and implement solutions to achieve project objectives
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and new technologies to drive innovation and ensure project deliverables meet NVIDIA’s standards of excellence
