Requirements

Candidates should have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role and a preferred bachelor's degree in a relevant area of study. Master proficiency in Ned Graphics and proficiency in Photoshop are required, along with an exceptional understanding of design and color principles. Experience designing for multiple machine types, including Tufted and Axminster, is preferred, and candidates must pass a pre-employment drug screen. A modern design sensibility, high energy, passion, collaboration, creativity, discipline, determination, flexibility, and a strong work ethic are also essential.

Responsibilities

The Designer will work with Sales, Project Management, and Design Customers to create custom hospitality designs for multiple spaces and perform creative design work for product development. This role involves developing key market designs and products in conjunction with local Account Executives, interpreting design concepts from conception to completion for the hospitality market, and developing custom designs for A&D in both machine-tufted and Axminster constructions. The Designer will provide well-conceived and carefully executed designs, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of production and installation requirements, and will interface effectively with the Planning Department regarding carpet installation planning. Responsibilities also include executing custom design collections to meet market trends and cleaning designs to ensure they are production-ready in conjunction with the Production Designer.
