Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in managing and executing creative projects from ideation to execution within fashion or retail
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating apparel and graphic design expertise
  • Proven ability to thrive in multi-stakeholder, highly collaborative environments
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills — able to articulate ideas clearly to both creative and non-creative audiences
  • Knowledge of product sourcing and production, including cut & sew and custom Product Development
  • Understanding of how graphic assets specifications are used in tech packing (e.g., understanding of fabrication/print techniques, eye for detail with regards to accuracy of co
  • Ability to refine and elevate existing designs while balancing creative originality with the ability to refine and elevate existing designs
  • Experience with dye treatments, fabrication, and print techniques
  • Familiarity with design software and technologies (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite)

Responsibilities

  • Create hi-res print-ready files from Creative Director’s low-res mock-ups and/or inspiration images
  • Revise art files based on client feedback from samples
  • Apply approved packaging patterns to packaging die-lines
  • Provide print scale specifications for approved all-over-print designs
  • Provide PMS colors for artwork or labels
  • Support in artwork separation tasks
  • Lead internal copy verification process to ensure that all copy included in graphic designs is correct, accurate, and approved
  • Participate in the design process of graphics, products, and collection assortments that align with the artist’s brand vision
  • Provide support of original graphics for eCommerce across new music, catalogue, and seasonal campaigns
  • Develop products using a mix of original art, artist-provided concepts, and freelance submissions — informed by cultural trends, brand research, and fan demographics
  • Curate line plans and create compelling presentations for artist and UMG stakeholders
  • Work across the design of apparel and accessories with expertise in dye treatments, fabrication, and print techniques
  • Support the creative process through trend research, inspiration development, mood, and creative briefs
  • Create packaging and branding graphic elements including neck labels, pad print graphics, woven tags, hang tags, and specialty packaging
  • Refine and maintain templates for packaging and branding components
  • Partner with Product Development to ensure designs are commercially viable and production ready
  • Provide creative problem solving, innovation, ideation, and file refinement for both new and existing designs
  • Stay ahead of graphic, fashion, and cultural trends to keep collections relevant and elevated
  • Collaborate with other creative stakeholders to troubleshoot files and execute technical adjustments, including supporting color separation and sampling processes
