Requirements

  • Passionate and interested in the arts/larger creative arena or eager to learn
  • Self-motivated, organized, detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Interest in art and design as it applies to a commercial gallery
  • Basic working knowledge of Figma, Indesign, Photoshop, and After Effects
  • Resident of NY, NJ, or CT
  • Commitment to approximately 6 months (Winter/Spring internship from January through April, 10AM–5PM, 4 days a week)

Responsibilities

  • Assist with design-related tasks including exhibition invitations, ads, social assets, and production of bespoke projects
  • Handle day-to-day design requests from marketing, digital marketing, content, events, and social teams
  • Create bespoke designs for online and print applications
  • Produce templated digital and print ads, social assets, invitations, and newsletters
  • Adapt existing design systems to various formats
  • Develop design directions
  • Conduct visual research
  • Organize assets
  • Work with type, grids, layout, and sequence
  • Prep/export assets for print and online
