Requirements

Bachelor's degree in an accredited Engineering program (preferred: Electrical Engineering), Computer Science, or Materials Science
Analytical Thinking (Working Knowledge): Ability to define problems, compare solutions, use analysis tools (e.g., flow charts, Pareto charts), identify impacts, and draw conclusions

Responsibilities

Design, validate, and maintain generator set control panel designs, supporting the product from initial concept through its entire lifecycle
Utilize 3D modelling software and standardized design practices to complete design and implementation of control panels, harnessing, generator power connections, and other ancillary components related to generator set packaging
Resolve problems related to manufacturing at multiple worldwide generator set assembly facilities
Collaborate on design and product validation with multiple global suppliers through the development and execution of detailed project and validation plans
Use technical expertise and product knowledge to resolve product quality issues by interfacing with engineers, service representatives, plant personnel, suppliers, and consultants
Participate in the adoption of new technologies and processes (e.g., automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement
Implement planning and engineering improvement procedures and operations to make the product or process more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective
Provide guidance to other engineers as required to ensure development schedules are met
