Requirements

  • 3+ years of previous demand planning, demand forecasting, supply planning, or supply chain analytics experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business or related field
  • Experience in inventory and control in a manufacturing and fast paced environment
  • Experience with ERP requisition process and procurement systems
  • Experience with demand planning software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Infor, or similar)
  • Background in advanced manufacturing or energy sectors is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of cost modeling and supply chain optimization techniques
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a high-volume environment
  • Ability to independently plan, schedule and carry out work assignments, initiate and participate in the improvement of procurement practices
  • Strong knowledge of forecasting principles, supply chain planning and inventory management techniques
  • Ability to work with highly collaborative team
  • Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently

Responsibilities

  • Generate and communicate accurate demand forecasts to the buying team to ensure on-time arrival of materials
  • Monitor inventory levels daily to maintain continuity of supply for internal operations
  • Develop and present regular reports on inventory status, safety stock levels and future demand projections
  • Model demand across multiple time horizons and manufacturing strategies (discrete and continuous)
  • Aggregate and consolidate data from diverse sources to inform strategic procurement decisions
  • Utilize and maintain demand planning tools and ERP systems effectively
  • Provide prompt and professional support to internal customers throughout the procurement process
  • Coordinate with project teams and area managers on purchasing needs, resolving issues and evaluating services
  • Deliver accurate standard cost information for production materials to the business development team
  • Support manufacturing operations, including fabrication and machining, by ensuring timely material availability
  • Take initiative and ownership of work responsibilities, identifying opportunities for process improvements
