Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age
Must have valid U.S. driver's license issued by the state of legal residence with necessary endorsements and DOT qualifications
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred
No more than two convictions in the past two-year period for traffic violations, no DUI convictions in the past three years, and no driver’s license suspensions in the past three years
Minimum of six months of commercial driving experience (any industry) OR three months of driving experience in the food and beverage delivery industry required
Must be able to pass DOT physical
Able to lift up to 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 100 lbs. on an occasional basis (up to 80 pounds repeated manual heavy lifting)
Able to perform repeated manual tasks, including using hand truck, going up and down stairs, frequent stops, and work in inclement weather

Responsibilities

Deliver customers’ orders to meet scheduled delivery times, following the stop sequence provided
Load and unload the vehicle for multi-stop deliveries
Transport deliveries by driving assigned vehicles
Use hand truck to move product from the delivery vehicle into the customer location, including up and down stairs
Unload products safely and stage product in the customer-designated space(s)
Accurately record delivery information, including operating a hand scanner and all company required documentation
Verify delivery of items with customers and check invoice for complete delivery
Process paperwork and damaged merchandise if any; handle proper documentation and disposition for return product
Collect payments (cash or checks) if necessary
Communicate delivery-customer issues to proper authority (e.g., Customer Service, Territory Manager, Transportation Supervisor)
Monitor refrigeration system on the delivery vehicle consistently for safety; follow all safe food handling procedures
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections (e.g., fluid levels, tires, windshield wash, replenishing fuel)
Deliver best-in-class customer service and maintain productivity
Other duties as assigned
