Responsibilities
Provides a high level of customer service to Members, answers questions, recommends deli items, answers calls, and takes special orders
Slices, packages, and weighs deli products including cheeses and meats; helps Members select products; samples products; prepares and packages special orders and party trays
Receives and inspects deli shipments; displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli products following policies
Ensures all products are fresh and meet quality standards; checks for out-of-date products daily and follows salvage procedures
Ensures deli cooler shelves and display cases have a wide variety of product; stocks and rotates items as necessary
Operates and handles deli equipment safely
Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler
Ensures scale systems are in proper working order (inferred from context)
Maintains presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including display cases
Supports club policies, procedures, compliance, GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate), and club standards for stocking, signage, cleanliness, and organization
Resolves member concerns, ensures a safe and positive environment, and escalates issues as appropriate
