Requirements
- Ability to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
- Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Ability to operate and handle deli equipment in accordance with safety policies
- Capacity to lift and move deli products for stocking, rotation, and storage
- At least 18 years old for 401(k) eligibility (implied for certain benefits)
Responsibilities
- Provides a high level of customer service to Members, answers questions, recommends deli items, answers calls, and takes special orders
- Slices, packages, and weighs deli products including cheeses and meats; helps Members select products and samples them to assist purchasing decisions
- Prepares and packages special orders and party trays
- Receives and inspects deli shipments; displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli products following policies
- Ensures all products are fresh and meet quality standards; checks for out-of-date products daily and follows salvage procedures
- Ensures deli cooler shelves and display cases have a wide variety of product; stocks and rotates items as necessary
- Operates and handles deli equipment per safety policies
- Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler
- Ensures scale systems are maintained (inferred from context)
- Maintains presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including display cases
- Supports club policies, procedures, and compliance; acts with honesty, integrity, and member focus
- Ensures a safe and positive environment; embraces inclusion, diversity, and teamwork
- Delivers GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate); resolves member concerns
- Maintains GOLD club standards daily, including stocking, promotional execution, signage, cleanliness, and organization
