Requirements
- Ability to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
- Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
- Capability to maintain presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including display cases
- Understanding of production and/or financial performance reporting for the department
- Commitment to customer service excellence, including Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate (GAA) standards
- Ability to work as a team, embrace inclusion and diversity, and maintain a friendly, positive attitude
- Physical ability to carry out job functions such as stocking, displaying, rotating, and storing products
Responsibilities
- Provide high level of customer service to Members, answer questions, recommend deli items, answer calls, and take special orders
- Slice, package, weigh deli products (cheeses and meats), help Members select products, sample products, prepare and package special orders and party trays
- Receive and inspect deli shipments, display, stock, rotate, and store deli products following policies
- Ensure all products are fresh, meet company quality standards, check for out-of-date products daily, and follow appropriate disposal procedures
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the deli department, including display cases, inside and out
- Support club policies, procedures, and compliance; act with honesty, integrity, and member focus
- Deliver GOLD club standards daily: Grand opening look, all items stocked, promotional plans executed, visible accurate signage, clean and organized
- Ensure a safe and positive environment for members and team members, resolve and deescalate concerns
