Ability to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
Ability to operate and handle deli equipment safely
Capability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation of deli equipment, surfaces, and display cases
Understanding of company quality standards and product salvage policies
Must be at least 18 years old for 401(k) eligibility (implied general age requirement for role)
Responsibilities
Provide high level of customer service: answer questions, recommend deli items, take special orders, assist with product selection, and sample products
Slice, package, weigh, and prepare deli products including special orders and party trays
Receive, inspect, display, stock, rotate, and store deli shipments following policies
Ensure all products are fresh, meet quality standards, and check for out-of-date items daily
Stock and rotate deli items to maintain variety in cooler shelves and display cases
Operate deli equipment (e.g., scales, rotisserie ovens) per safety procedures
Clean and sanitize deli equipment, food surfaces, refrigerated cases, and cooler throughout the department
Maintain presentation, cleanliness, and organization of the deli department, including display cases
Support club policies, procedures, compliance, and GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
Work collaboratively, embrace inclusion, ensure safe environment, and escalate concerns as needed
