Requirements

Ability to slice, package, weigh, and sell deli products including meats and cheeses
Knowledge of food safety, food freshness, and product handling policies and procedures
Ability to operate and handle deli equipment in accordance with safety policies
Commitment to maintaining honesty, integrity, and a member-focused approach
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment with speed and agility
Understanding of production and/or financial performance reporting for the department

Responsibilities

Provides a high level of customer service to Members, answers questions, recommends deli items, answers calls, and takes special orders
Slices, packages, and weighs deli products including cheeses and meats; helps Members select products; samples products to assist purchasing decisions
Prepares and packages special orders and party trays
Receives and inspects deli shipments; displays, stocks, rotates, and stores deli products following policies
Ensures all products are fresh and meet company quality standards; checks for out-of-date products daily and follows salvage procedures
Ensures deli cooler shelves and display cases have a wide variety of product; stocks and rotates items when necessary
Operates and handles deli equipment safely
Cleans and sanitizes deli equipment and food surfaces throughout the department, including rotisserie ovens, cooking utensils, refrigerated cases, and the deli cooler
Maintains presentation and cleanliness of the deli, including display cases
Supports club policies, procedures, compliance, and GOLD Member Standards (Greet, Anticipate, Appreciate)
