Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of directly related experience. A Delaware Title Examination experience is required, along with proficiency in standard MS skills and company operating systems. Analytical review, research, investigative, problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills are essential.
The Title Examiner will search public records and examine titles to determine the legal condition of property titles, primarily for residential properties. Responsibilities include abstracting and analyzing records such as mortgages, liens, and judgments to determine ownership and legal restrictions, resolving issues within title documentation, and preparing initial title commitment documentation based on procedural guidelines.
