Requirements

Candidates should possess 8+ years of experience building successful production database systems handling terabytes of data, experience configuring and managing at least two of Cassandra, Couchbase, Redis, or MongoDB at scale, and experience managing database systems in a hybrid cloud environment. Familiarity with architectures that scale with volume and are fault-tolerant, along with experience in distributed persistent systems and asynchronous messaging, is also required.

Responsibilities

The Senior Database Engineer will understand and design new highly-available and fault-tolerant cloud-based databases, participate in collaborative solution development, investigate complex problems and propose solutions, advocate for solutions to address capacity issues and minimize blast radius, work with database clients to optimize queries and evolve data models, automate database infrastructure, and participate in 24*7 oncall rotations to support production issues.
