Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, MIS, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and strong proficiency in T-SQL. They should also have 5+ years of experience in consulting, with a focus on analytics and data solutions, along with 5+ years of experience in analytics development and implementation. Furthermore, candidates require 3+ years of experience with Azure Data Factory and Azure SQL, and proficiency in MDX and/or DAX queries, complemented by experience with open-source or dedicated analytics tools.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer II will design and implement general architecture for complex data systems, translating business requirements into functional and technical specifications, and developing workflow and process-based systems. They will create and manage cloud-based data architecture and reporting solutions, applying data modelling principles for relational and dimensional data structures, and designing Data Warehouses following established principles. Additionally, the Data Engineer will create and manage source-to-target mappings for ETL/ELT processes, and work collaboratively across Valorem’s organizations to deliver data visualization and information delivery solutions utilizing Power BI and Azure Data Services, ensuring analytics are positioned to meet business objectives and relate to business and enterprise architectures.
