Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related field, along with at least 3+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics, demonstrating expertise in both batch and near-real-time data processing. Strong proficiency in data processing technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, and PySpark, coupled with a solid understanding of SQL and programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala, is required, as is experience with cloud data platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and a deep understanding of data security and quality governance.

Responsibilities

The Data Engineer will be responsible for architecting and constructing a comprehensive data warehouse focused on scalability, efficiency, and reliability to support business problems, engaging with analytics teams and business stakeholders to understand their data needs, developing and optimizing ETL/ELT processes, data models, and data architectures for data transformation, establishing and overseeing data quality monitoring and alerting systems, and implementing robust data governance practices. Additionally, they will leverage big data technologies for large-scale data processing and analytics, develop novel applications from enterprise data to enable insights and decision-making, and keep up to date with the latest trends in data engineering and big data technologies.
