Requirements

Candidates must be US citizens, US naturalized citizens, or US Permanent Residents holding a green card, and must pass a ServiceNow background screening including a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check, and drug test. A CompTIA A+, Server+, or Network+ certification is a plus, and GCS-23 certification is desired. Applicants must have at least 2 years of experience in data center operations and/or facility operations with a record of increasing role responsibility, and experience installing and troubleshooting telco circuits is required. Strong technical understanding of data center facilities and infrastructure, including power, HVAC, structured cabling, rack management, and security/compliance is needed, along with working knowledge of networking/server architecture and hardware. Experience leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving is also required.

Responsibilities

As a Data Center Operations Engineer, the role involves engineering, implementing, communicating, executing, and streamlining processes including security, asset management, deployments, infrastructure design, circuit management, capacity management, and hardware break-fix. The position requires developing, documenting, and evangelizing a catalogue of standards and best practices for data center operations, functioning as the primary point of contact and being accountable for all vendors operating within the data centers. The role also involves performing basic hands-on hardware break-fix with servers and network appliances, installing pre-integrated racks, individual servers and network appliances, and managing vendors in a data center environment.
