Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience in data center capacity planning, portfolio management, or related engineering roles
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Deep experience in the creation of tools, models, and dashboards that track demand and supply across sophisticated portfolios
  • Solid understanding of data center infrastructure, design, and construction timelines, particularly as they relate to GPU architectures and roadmap transitions
  • Proven experience in portfolio planning—balancing multiple projects, timelines, and capacity requirements
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-starter mentality; ability to work independently while influencing multi-functional partners

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership in coordination with product requirements and configurations of mechanical and electrical system designs
  • Build and maintain capacity planning models for critical data center resources inclusive of methodologies to track global demand, supply, and portfolio utilization
  • Translate business drivers, internal tenant demand, and GPU roadmap requirements into multi-year capacity strategies
  • Develop tools to measure incremental vs. cumulative demand and supply, highlighting constraints, risks, and available capacity
  • Evaluate tradeoffs across timing, location, and develop options to optimize portfolio planning
  • Partner with construction, design, finance, and operations teams to validate assumptions, incorporate technical dependencies, and ensure alignment with strategic growth
  • Understand the complexities of rack-ready vs. powered-shell timelines, density requirements, and evolving GPU architectures
  • Operate as a self-starter capable of independently identifying gaps, proposing solutions, and driving execution with minimal guidance
