Requirements

Candidates should possess 10+ years of experience in data architecture, with at least 5 years specifically within the healthcare industry. Strong expertise in healthcare and pharmacy benefit management (PBM) data systems, particularly those related to government programs like Medicaid and Medicare is required. Knowledge of Snowflake, Matillion, and AWS (or similar technologies) is also necessary, alongside a solid understanding of data governance, healthcare standards, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

The Data Architect will lead the design and development of secure, scalable, and compliant cloud-based architectures to support analytics and applications across pharmaceutical, Medicaid, and Medicare domains. They will own and maintain data models, data lakes, and data marts supporting Medicare Part D, Medicaid rebates, STAR ratings, DIR fees, and related programs. The role involves designing systems that support downstream data consumers, acting as a key point of contact between business stakeholders and the data engineering team, and implementing data governance frameworks to ensure traceability and compliance. Furthermore, they will translate CMS and HHS mandates into data standards, collaborate with various teams to define requirements, and address architectural problems while evaluating and applying AI/ML techniques.
