Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master’s or PhD in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in biostatistics within the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) or pharmaceutical industry, or a relevant industry. Proficiency in statistical programming languages such as SAS and R is required, with experience in other tools like Python or Stata being a plus. Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research is essential. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) databases and claims databases is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Data Analyst & Programmer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for large pharmaceutical companies, conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives, develop and validate statistical analysis plans to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes, write statistical code and collaborate with other biostatisticians across projects for code and results auditing, communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients, and reference EMR and claims databases while working with data vendors.
