Requirements

  • Clear communication skills via phone, in person, and in writing
  • Proficiency in using touch screens or manual tracking systems to maintain accurate records of trailer and shag truck movements
  • Ability to wash trailers as needed and accurately complete product protection activities
  • Willingness to work weekends and accommodate occasional shift changes
  • Previous shag driving experience preferred but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Valid state-issued driver's license
  • No DUI or DWIs in the last 12 months
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Ability to provide proof of authorization to work legally in the United States
  • Must pass a urinalysis screening as part of the post-offer health assessment
  • MUST HAVE 1 MONTH EXPERIENCE OPERATING MACHINERY IN THE LAST 12 MONTHS
  • Rehire Criteria: Minimum waiting period of 180 days. No more than 3 rehires
  • Physical ability to: safely transport trailers; climb in and out of the shag tractor, open trailer doors, and secure safety devices (jack stands and wheel chocks); perform routine pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting of 50 pounds or more; utilize hands and arms above shoulder level; work in extreme hot, cold, wet, and dry environments; stand for 8-10 hours a day

Responsibilities

  • Safely transport trailers to various on-site locations at the plant
  • Climb in and out of the shag tractor, open trailer doors, and secure safety devices (jack stands and wheel chocks)
  • Perform additional duties as required, including routine pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting of 50 pounds or more
  • Wash trailers as needed and accurately complete product protection activities
  • Maintain accurate records of trailer and shag truck movements using touch screens or manual tracking systems
