Demonstrated experience in offensive security techniques
Ability to help build and implement secure solutions from the ground up
Equally comfortable breaking down complex problems on a whiteboard and taking a hands-on approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting
Skilled at evaluating security tradeoffs and making risk-based decisions
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Ability to teach others and transfer knowledge about threat modeling
Strong Linux background – familiarity with the terminal and scripting abilities
Comfortable taking accountability and able to document decision-making rationale
Proficiency in any programming language (a plus)
Fluency in English

Responsibilities

Identify and remediate vulnerabilities in applications, data, infrastructure, and processes
Partner with various teams to analyze the security implications of design decisions
Guide teams to build security into their applications from the ground up
Leverage offensive security skills to identify threats
Translate security principles into concrete architectural improvements
Communicate with system owners to identify and resolve vulnerabilities
Balance tradeoffs between security controls and business requirements
Develop creative approaches to complex security challenges
Document decision-making rationale
