Candidates should possess hands-on experience with implementing security controls, including database security, web content filtering, anomaly detection and response, vulnerability scanning and management. They must demonstrate proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Perl, Python, PowerShell, or Bash, for automation and security tooling. Furthermore, expertise in at least one of the following security domains is required: network security (e.g., IDS/IPS, firewall hardening), cloud-native security (e.g., IAM, security groups, encryption), endpoint security (e.g., EDR/XDR, mobile security), or application security (e.g., SAST, DAST, API security). Strong familiarity with industry security frameworks and regulations, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF), CIS Controls, HIPAA, and GDPR compliance, is also essential.
The CyberSecurity Engineer will analyze and recommend improvements to network, system, and application architectures to enhance security, research and design cybersecurity solutions, collaborate with DevOps and other teams to integrate security into systems, design and deploy automated security controls, develop and refine security policies, assess and review emerging technologies, conduct vulnerability scanning and risk assessments, implement logging and monitoring solutions, and take ownership of security posture improvements. They will also work closely with security architects to develop and deploy security solutions, research and stay up to date on security threats, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
